Wake GOP want businessman as new commissioner

— Wake County Republican Party leaders have nominated businessman Rich Gianni to succeed former county Commissioner Tony Gurley.

Gurley resigned last month to take a position in the state budget office.

The Board of Commissioners must still approve Gianni's nomination.

    Maybe they just decided to choose the best man for the job. Rather than the good ol' boy approach of the left that that failed the state for so long.

    The Wake GOP picks another northerner to the Commissioners. I guess they agree we don't know how to run our own county.
