Wake Forest's Carnival for Kids opens Tuesday

Carnival for the Kids opens Tuesday in Wake Forest
UPDATE: Due to strong winds and cold temperatures, the Tuesday, March 14, Carnival for the Kids was canceled. All of Tuesday's $2 off coupons will be honored Wednesday.
Weather permitting, the event will begin Wednesday and continue through Sunday, March 19, in the parking lot of the Wake Forest Home Depot, 11915 Retail Dr.

The event includes carnival rides and games and, of course, lots of food. Admission to the event is free and open to the public. Hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Friday; 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday; and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday.

Unlimited ride wristbands will be available for purchase at the carnival for $20 each from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

Coupons worth $2 off the wristbands are available in the lobby of Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St.; Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St.; and the Police Department, 225 S. Taylor St. The coupons may only be used to purchase the wristbands from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
