Wake Forest police

— Wake Forest police are urging residents to be on the lookout for two men who have been approaching young children in area neighborhoods.

Police say the men were seen in a gray or silver four-door SUV along Samuel Wait Lane and Lariat Ridge Drive in recent days. They offered rides to children and asked about a missing kitten.

The SUV has damage on the passenger side and is missing the passenger-side mirror.

The man in the passenger seat was described as white, between the ages of 18 and 24, with blonde/brown hair. He was wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses. The driver was also described as a white man, but no other identifying features are known.

Anyone with information is urged to call the police department at 919-554-6150. Callers can remain anonymous.
