Wake Forest man shot outside Raleigh IHOP restaurant

Raleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police said that a man was shot outside an IHOP restaurant in the 3000 block of Capital Boulevard around 3 a.m. Saturday.
Darrice Jamar Covington, 22, of Wake Forest, suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was taken to WakeMed, where he was listed in good condition Saturday evening.
The restaurant was open for business when the shooting occurred.
Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
