Wake early voting expanding to 20 locations

Posted October 27

— Wake County voters planning to cast early ballots will have more options starting Thursday.

Long lines greeted many voters during the first week of early voting when Wake County had only nine locations open. That roster of early voting sites will expand to 20 starting Thursday.

Each of the state's 100 counties sets its own times and places for absentee voting, so the availability across the state varies. Early in-person voting continues through Nov. 5 and gives voters the chance to register to vote and vote on the same day. Election Day is Nov. 8.
