Wake deputies arrest three after chase
Three people were arrested Saturday after a high-speed chase that started in Raleigh and ended in Durham.

The chase began when a deputy tried to pull over a vehicle on U.S. Highway 70, near Glenwood Avenue, at about 8:15 p.m., spokeswoman Phyllis Stephens said. The driver, Timothy Douglas Overby, refused to stop, and a chase ensured.
The chase ended a short time later at 2718 Owen St. in Durham. No injuries were reported, Stephens said.
Overby, 41, was charged with careless and reckless driving, speeding to elude arrest, speeding, driving with a revoked license and littering, according to a police spokesperson.
Both of his passengers were also arrested.
Dimeena Velez Hartman, 32, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, and William Xavier Foushee, 22, was charged with possession of marijuana, the spokesperson said.
Overby was being held on a $14,500 bond and Hartman on a $2,000 bond at the Wake County Jail Sunday. Foushee was released on a $1,000 bond.
According to state Department of Correction records, Overby was released from prison last November after being convicted of several DWIs. He earlier served about 12 years total for assault, armed robbery and kidnapping convictions.
