Wake County school bus driver arrested on DWI charge
A bus driver for the Wake County Public School System is off the road after being arrested over the weekend on a driving while impaired charge.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A bus driver for the Wake County Public School System is off the road after being arrested over the weekend on a driving while impaired charge.
Sherron Letonia Utley, 37, of 501 Creekway Drive in Fuquay-Varina, was arrested Sunday.
Samiha Khanna, a spokeswoman for the school system, said Monday that the district was notified of the arrest Monday morning and that Utley will be placed on administrative duty pending the outcome of an investigation.
Utley is expected to appear in court on the charge next month.
