Wake County attorney faces weapons charges

Officers found a pellet gun, a Bowie knife, nunchucks and two ski masks in the car.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police arrested a Knightdale man early Saturday morning after finding weapons in his car.

John Archibald Dusenbury Jr., 57, of 1004 Silverbell Lane, was charged with carrying a concealed gun and carrying a concealed weapon.

Dusenbury told officers that he is an assistant federal public defender. Records show he is licensed to practice law in North Carolina.

Officers found a pellet gun, a Bowie knife, nunchucks and two ski masks in Dusenbury's car while it was off his property, according to paperwork filed on the arrest.

Dusenbury was released from custody Saturday evening on a $5,000 bond. His first court appearance was set for June 10.
