The Wake County School Board will meet this week, to discuss hiring a new leader, after delaying the announcement of a new superintendent.  

<b>WAKE COUNTY, N.C.</b> — The Wake County School Board will meet this week, to discuss hiring a new leader, after delaying the announcement of a new superintendent.  

The Wake County Board of Education has not set an exact date for the closed door meeting. Earlier this week the board postponed the announcement of a superintendent, saying certain aspects needed to be finalized. 

The board has voted in a new interim superintendent, Cathy Moore. The current interim leader, Stephen Gainey, is set to leave Wake County to start a new job July 1st.
