Wadesboro man, 70, reported missing in Durham

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert Tuesday afternoon for a 70-year-old Anson County man, who was last seen at a home in Durham.

DURHAM, N.C. — The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert Tuesday afternoon for a 70-year-old Anson County man who was last seen at a home in Durham.

Douglas Ray Clayton, who is believed to be cognitively impaired, was reported missing from 6310 Garrett Road, authorities said. He might be headed to 1440 U.S. Highway 52 South in Wadesboro.

Clayton is driving a gray 2000 Buick Regala with North Carolina license plate MRX-4781.

He is white, has brown hair and blue eyes, stands 6 feet tall and weighs about 170 pounds.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Wadesboro Police Department at 704-694-2167.
