brttnkll, are you kiding me. So what you going to do, risk your life, for money that isnt yours. All the note had to say was give me all your money or else, that would of been enough for me. Money can be replaced, but that Tellers life cant be.

A block from the police station and she got away..

Yes....A block from the station. And that is because the police are out on patrol and answering 911 calls. Would you rahter have all them hanging out at the station? And you donut comment is very childish. How about having a little respect for people who risk their life to protect ours?

I've worked in banking for many years and being robbed is a crazy ordeal! Yes it is true that banks "should" have bullet-proof glass, however, the bank doesn't see that as a "necessary" expense until its been robbed numerous times.

Employees are required, by the banks ,not to resist any type of robbery. All will fire you for violating this rule. I worked 22 years at a local bank.

When a robber comes in the bank and hands you a note saying give me all your money or Im going to kill you....are you really going to just stand there and say no?! I dont think so. When this happens to people, people get scared and are willing to do anything it takes to save their own life, so of course your going to hand over the money and listen to whatever they say to do....People in banks dont have guns hiding up under the counter....without weapons they feel more in danger so they feel like they dont have a choice, but to do what the robber says to do, and thats exactly what happened.

What could that note possibly have said to make the teller just hand over the cash to this woman???

I'll split it 50-50 with you later.

What could that note possibly have said to make the teller just hand over the cash to this woman???

How bout "I have a gun and will kill you if you don't hand over the money"? or, "I'll come back and follow you home one day", or "Gimme $10K and I'll split it with you".

The banks are modern day thieves themselves, but we dont hear about how they rob their customers everyday of the week with their ridiculous fees and made up as you go rules.

Yea it was a block from the Police station. Do you think they just sit there waiting on calls to go out? The only reason they might have been there was to eat lunch since it was near that time.
