VP Debate 2012

Published: 2012-10-11 14:37:00
Updated: 2012-10-11 14:53:10

As we settle down to watch the Vice Presidential debate tonight, a new survey from Pew suggests that 1-in-10 viewers will do so on more than one screen:

"The vast majority of Americans say they followed coverage of the first presidential debate between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama, including 56% who followed the debate live. Most of these real-time viewers watched on television, but 11% of live debate watchers were “dual screeners,” following coverage on a computer or mobile device at the same time as following television coverage. Another 3% say they followed the debate live exclusively online."

With that in mind, I'm going to watch and write about the debate with the help of Storify, an online service that helps you curate links, Twitter comments and Facebook posts. If you'd like to point out something that I should include, give a shout to @binker on Twitter or use the comment icon at the top of the Storify box. I've entered some preliminary content for those who want some background before popping the popcorn tonight.

And if you're not near a TV tonight, WRAL will be streaming the debate live. Just click on the link in the upper-left corner of this post.
