Vote for your favorite Christmas tree on the Out & About mobile app

Posted December 5, 2016

Christmas trees decorated by non-profit organization supporters line the walkway in front of the Durham Performing Arts Center in effort to win their organization the prize of “best decorated.” You will have until December 20 to cast your vote for the top three winners after All-star judges select an overall favorite on Dec. 6 while the community rallies for their favorite trees in Diamond View Park (photo by Wes Hight).

— For the first time, people can cast their votes in the Triangle Christmas Tree Challenge via the Out and About mobile app.

The challenge features nearly 50 trees decorated and displayed at American Tobacco Campus. The trees have been decorated by area nonprofits. The top vote-getter receives a $5,000 cash prize, with second through fourth place finishers also receiving cash prizes.

Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16.

To vote on the Out and About mobile app, click the red Triangle Christmas Tree Challenge tab at the top of the home screen.

In addition to voting via the app, people can also vote on the Triangle Tree Challenge website and via text.
