RALEIGH, N.C. — Hundreds of people in Raleigh are getting a hot meal delivered to their home this Christmas Eve, thanks to the Raleigh Rescue Mission.

All morning long, 100 volunteers prepared and packaged 750 meals of ham, turkey and all the trimmings for delivery to the elderly, shut-ins and low-income families.

Volunteers say it's a great way to spend Christmas Eve.

"It makes me realize how many blessings I have, and I am just so happy to help others who could use our help," said Claire Clayton.

This marks the 10 year the Raleigh Rescue Mission has prepared the "Gobbles to Go."
