Raleigh's latest golden ticket: chocolate factory coming to downtown

A BYOB chocolate factory?

Sounds like a golden ticket to me.

Sam Ratto and his wife Starr are transforming the space previously occupied by Ess Lounge into Videri Chocolate Factory.

It's been quite some time since I've been this stoked for a downtown opening but I could tell immediately upon meeting Sam that he is on to something special.

Videri will be making delicious dark chocolate and rich milk chocolate bars. With a full bean-to-bar production line and indoor/outdoor seating, Videri joins Tasty Beverage Co. and Spy as the newest additions to downtown fueling the renaissance of the Warehouse District.

Sam is also currently in the permitting process that will allow you to bring your own beer and wine. Think...WIlly Wonka's...for adults.

Videri Chocolates will open in late November/early December just in time for the holiday season.

Stay tuned to Out & About for more information on Sam, Starr and their factory of deliciousness.

Seems like quite a big space for a business that sells a seemingly low-cost product. Maybe they do a large online business? Either way, the BYOB idea sounds genius! Looking forward to the holidays with more chocolate this year.
