Flu deaths expected to rise as season nears peak

Doctors with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services said Tuesday that they've seen a spike in flu-related activity since the middle of December. Because of the increase, officials said they expect the number of flu-related deaths to continue to climb as flu season reaches its annual peak.
