NC Senate debates bill that would ban gender-affirming medical care for transgender minors

The ban would apply to all doctors in the state, not just in the UNC system and public hospitals. Violations could result in license revocations. The measure would make exceptions for children who are currently using hormone therapy with parental and doctor's consent.
