Victim's mother pleads for help to solve Wayne double homicide

Tyrone "TJ" Beamon Jr., 27, and Shaundrea Juanette Milhouse, 21, of Knightdale, were found dead in a bathtub of Beamon's 638 Waller Road home on Nov. 5 in what Wayne County Sheriff Carey Winders called a "gruesome" and "very vindictive" crime.

Investigators said they believe the couple was killed at least a day before their bodies were found.

Beamon's mother, Wanda Green, said the couple hadn't returned phone calls for a couple of days before she went to the house to check on them. She first saw Beamon's 3-year-old son Milhouse's children – ages 4 years and 9 months – peeking at her through a window, and the 4-year-old told her what happened as soon as she got inside.

"TJ and Mommy are in the tub. They are dead," Green said the boy told her. "What he was saying to me, a 4-year-old could not come out with that."

She then went into the bedroom and found the bodies. Their hands appeared to have been bound, she said.

"I shook him and called his name out. No response," she said.

None of the children was harmed.

"I do not know what kind of person takes two parents' lives and leaves three children to fend for themselves," Green said.

Authorities have released few details in the investigation, saying only that the home didn't appear to be ransacked and that drugs didn't appear to be involved.

The cause of death hasn't been released for either Beamon or Milhouse.

Green pleaded for tips that would help investigators crack the case, saying the family is desperate for answers and noting that authorities have given them little information.

"In my life, it used to be one day at a time. Now, it is one minute, one second. I am just not moving forward," she said.

Beamon's father on Monday added $3,000 to the $3,000 reward offered by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office for information leading to an arrest in the case.
