MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — The governor's office added $10,000 to the pot Friday for tips that can solve a Wayne County double murder.

Tyrone "TJ" Beamon Jr., 27, and Shaundrea Juanette Milhouse, 21, of Knightdale, were found dead in a bathtub of Beamon's Mount Olive home on Nov. 5 in what Wayne County Sheriff Carey Winders called a "gruesome" and "very vindictive" crime.

An autopsy showed Beamon had been tied, beaten and died of strangulation. Millhouse's cause of death has not been released.

The sheriff's office, Beamon's family and now the governor have all offered reward money for tips that help investigators solve the crime. That reward, taking into account Gov. Pat McCrory's $10,000 contribution would total $16,000.

Investigators said they believe the couple was dead for at least a day before their bodies were found. Family members said Beamon's 3-year-old son and Milhouse's children – ages 4 and 9 months – were also found inside the home but were not harmed.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255 or text at 919-222-4230.
