Victim and suspect identified in Fayetteville shooting

Fayetteville police on Tuesday identified a man who was fatally shot Monday near the intersection of Raeford Road and Scotland Drive.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police on Tuesday identified a man who was fatally shot Monday near the intersection of Raeford Road and Scotland Drive.

Quinton Omar Solomon, 25, of the 4500 block of Alamance Road, was pronounced dead at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center following the shooting.

Police have charged Justin Quavon Shumpert, 18, of the 1300 block of Camelot Drive, with first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy in connection with the shooting.
