Verizon Outage Reported in Durham

Posted April 17, 2008

— Crews were working Thursday night to repair a Verizon phone outage in eastern Durham.
Officials said an accident resulted in the line being cut.

Verizon crews were on the scene at Sharon Road.

It was unclear how many customers were affected by the outage.

In February, more than 400 Verizon connections needed to be repaired after an outage in Durham. Police said those were caused by thieves who stole cables, possibly to sell the copper.

Sounds like Verizon customers need cans with strings.

    God bless.
