Thanks KATHYS, GOCATS8 , and EM2S! I'm not going to have time left to break mine out of the box this weekend, but very soon I will, and I'm looking forward to it. :-)

Such great suggestions from everyone regarding what to make with the spiralizer. Thank you! Those sweet potato ribbons with Greek yogurt sounds heavenly.

Dr D - Hope you enjoy using yours! I agree with GoCats8: it makes quick and simple, healthy meals. This prep-style is a go-to for lunches with us (and often breakfasts for me). Experimenting with everything doubles the pleasure :) started with zucchini, cucumber and carrot, then to turnips, rutabagas, sweet and russet/Irish potatoes to apples, firm pears and more... Some of our standbys include: all veggie-oodle lo mein, pomodoro veggie-guini, raw garden-uccine pita-wiches w/ sriracha dressing, quick veggie Borscht, Moroccan carrot-oodle salad, fruit-oodle blend, and hot sweet potato ribbons w/ either a nut butter or vanilla Greek yogurt and nut-oat granola topping. Looking forward to hearing about your experiences!

My simple go to recipe is to heat evoo in a saute pan add zucchini noodles and add spices (I like Mrs. Dash garlic and herb) Saute for a few minutes. Add to whatever dish you want. We eat like that as side dish, mix with spaghetti with sauce and I have also added it to veggie soup. All is good. Even my husband loves them.

I don't have this one but love mine. I found lots of recipes on Pinterest but my go to side dish is zoodles sautéed in Italian dressing. So quick and simple.

Wow - I didn't realize there was an electric version, but it makes perfect sense. Do NOT tell my DH about that, nor about this one that's 65% off - he just gave me The Inspiralizer this Christmas. Haven't had a chance to try it yet, although I bought a 5-pk of zucchini at Aldi this morning! Anyone with experience care to post their favorite spiralized veggie noodle recipes/uses? :-)

I had one similar to this and where it was good to get me started it didn't last. The legs broke off and the plastic around the blade was starting to crack. It just wasn't as good as he new one I go that is electric. This is the one I recommend. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Oster-Electric-Spiralizer-Black-FPSTES1000/54804697

We love our spiralized squash and zucchini noodles.
