Vandals Target NCSU Football Facility

Campus police are investigating an act of vandalism at the Wendell Murphy Football Center.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Campus police are investigating an act of vandalism at the Wendell Murphy Football Center near Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh.

According to police, someone fired two shotgun blasts at the facility between midnight Wednesday and 5 a.m. Thursday. A window was shattered and a shot grazed a sign outside the building's entrance, authorities said.

Authorities said no one was in the building at the time of the shooting.
