Vandals Target Durham Apartment Complex

— Durham police need the public's help to solve a vandalism case.

Authorities said the incident happened on May 30 at the Pinnacle Ridge Apartments on University Drive.

According to investigators, someone spray-painted graffiti on the front of the complex, on exercise equipment and on the management office. The vandals wrote derogatory words and the initials, KKK.

    This is actually the first case of non-gang-related graffiti I have heard of in a long, long time. In a strange way, I find that comforting.
    Does anyone know how often graffiti vandals are caught? It seems like it would be difficult to find out who did it unless they were caught on film or someone saw them.

    I would be willing to bet the KKK have nothing to do with this... Just some stupid kids who probably thought it would be funny to paint those letters.

    sounds like senseless vandalism by juvenile delinquents. hope they are caught and made to clean/pay for the damages they caused.
