Unloaded gun found at Raleigh middle school

Raleigh, N.C. — A student at Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School in Raleigh was found to have an unloaded gun Wednesday, the Wake County Sheriff's Office said.
Someone tipped the school resource officer to the presence of the gun at the school and it was found in the student's possession.
The sheriff's office did not release the identity of the student, who is a juvenile.
Principal Edye Morris-Bryant was sending a letter home to parents about the incident.
