University Place hosts free interactive concerts for kids this summer

Summer on the Stage started last Wednesday and continues on select Wednesday mornings in June, July and August.

University Place in Chapel Hill is hosting a series of summer concerts designed for kids and their adults.
Kidzu Children's Museum's Summer on the Stage started last Wednesday and continues on select Wednesday mornings in June, July and August.

You could easily spend a good part of the day here, playing at Kidzu and shopping at The Red Hen, a great children's consignment shop; Glee Kids, an adorable kids clothing boutique; and A Southern Season, where you can load up on lots of treats and get a yummy snack.

Here's the schedule:

June 21: American Dance Festival: Creative movement with Gaspard Louis and Osei Appiagyei

​June 28: Jammin' Baby

July 12: American Dance Festival: African Dance with Sherone Price and Skalid Saleem

July 19: American Dance Festival: African Dance with Michelle Gibson

Aug. 23: Kindermusik

​All concerts start at 10:30 a.m. on the University Place stage. They are free!
