University A cappella groups compete in first Varsity Vocal Showcase
The Varsity Vocal Showcase, a competition between five singing groups from local universities, will take place tomorrow during Preview Day at the State Fair.

The Varsity Vocal Showcase, a competition between five singing groups from local universities, will take place tomorrow during Preview Day at the State Fair. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. in Dorton Arena, and tickets are only $10.
Money raised will benefit the groups performing at the showcase. Donations will be tallied based on the number of tickets sold for each group, which is designated by the ticket buyer at checkout.
Here's a list of participating a cappella groups:
- NC State: Grains of Time and Ladies in Red
- UNC-Chapel Hill: UNC Clef Hangers and The UNC Loreleis
- Duke: Rhythm & Blue
