UNC police seek two wanted in armed robbery

— UNC police are seeking the public's help to identify two people wanted in connection with an armed robbery that happened Friday night near Memorial Hall on East Cameron Avenue.

According to investigators, two armed men approached the victims at about 11 p.m. and demanded their wallets and iPhones.

The men, who were described as between 25 to 30 years old, then pushed the victims to the ground and ran toward Franklin Street.

One of the men wanted by police was described as 6-feet tall and heavy set. He was wearing a do-rag and short-sleeve dark shirt, and he had scruffy facial hair, authorities said.

The other man was described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and thin. He was wearing a dark shirt and khaki shorts, and he was described as having thick hair, possibly in dreadlocks or braids, police said.

    I'll help you out....The victim, a non-UNC student, described the suspects as three Hispanic males who were last seen running westbound on Rosemary Street toward the Key Food Mart (across the street from Breadmen’s Restaurant). Two of the suspects were wearing black shirts; a third was wearing a pink shirt and was described as having gold teeth. One of the suspects had a facial tattoo.
