WRAL-TV's last primetime ACC basketball game of the regular season will air Wednesday at 8 p.m., the same time as the scheduled premiere of "Survivor: Cagayan."

Those who wish to watch the two-hour special "Survivor" instead have a number of choices.

"Survivor: Cagayan" will air Wednesday from 8 to 10 p.m. on WRAL2, over-the-air channel 5.2 or Time Warner Cable Ch. 106.

WRAL-TV will replay the episode overnight beginning around 1:30 a.m. The start time is tentative and depends on how long the game runs. Set your DVR or other recording device for 1:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. to be sure you get the whole program.

Wednesday's episode of "Criminal Minds" will air immediately after the game, close to 10 p.m., and it will be followed by WRAL News at 11.

Love Survivor; can't stand UNC or NCS, but ACC athletics reign supreme and I appreciate fan ardor. Nothing DVR can't handle. Go Duke!

Survivor is a great show and has endured when other shows have flopped. In any event, why can't WRAL put the game on channel 2. I note that the game is also on the local NBC channel where another favorite show has been pre-empted.

More money in advertising during the basketball game due to more viewership.

    FREDK,

Welcome to Basketball Country! But something tells me you've been here all along so you should already know the answer to your question. Regardless of how the seasons turn out for local schools, WRAL aka Capital Broadcasting is a network affiliate of Raycom Sports and the ACC Network. So no, CBS programming doesn't get priority. If it did, the game would be on WRAL2.

Same can be said for NC State athletics.

    Wait, Survivor still comes on?

  • bbq_lover Feb 25, 2014

The last games wasn't that close so Survivor may be more interesting.

I agree - who still watches Survivor?!

  • Cat22 Feb 24, 2014

I'm baffled why people even watch this show anymore. Just plain stupid.
