UNC-Chapel Hill students danced around the clock Friday into Saturday to raise money for the North Carolina Children's Hospital.

The 19th annual UNC Dance Marathon, presented by Carolina FTK, raised $420,062.95 for the patients and families of UNC Children’s Hospital.

Over 1,000 students stood for the 24-hour event held in Fetzer Gym on UNC’s campus.

Carolina FTK is the largest student-run philanthropic organization in North Carolina and works year-round to benefit the patients and families served by UNC Children’s.

“It is so very humbling to see how much money the Carolina community raised for Carolina For The Kids,” said Executive Director Elizabeth Brown. “The $420,062.95 means so much more than a monetary amount and that is why we do what we do. It stands for the patients and families that we will be able to help at UNC Children’s.”
