CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — An academic building at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill reopened Tuesday more than 24 hours after a water main broke near the structure.

University officials said classes would be held at Greenlaw Hall on Tuesday as students and staff return from the Labor Day weekend.

It wasn't clear what caused the water main to break Sunday night.

Officials said pedestrians should use extra caution around the repair sites.
