U.S. 1 North reopened after multi-vehicle wreck in Cary

Cary, N.C. — A multi-vehicle wreck forced the temporary closure of three of four northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 1, near Cary Parkway, early Saturday afternoon.
Cary emergency dispatch officials said four or five vehicles got into a wreck around 12:30 p.m.
Police said some vehicle occupants suffered minor injuries. Wake County and Cary emergency medical personnel responded to the scene.
Crews cleared the scene and reopened the closed lanes around 1:20 p.m.
Traffic cameras showed traffic backed up during the lane closures, but has resumed moving freely.
More details about the wreck were not immediately available.
