U-Haul Offers 30 Days Free Storage to Brush Fire Victims

The U-Haul companies of Raleigh and South Carolina have joined together to offer 30 days of free storage to victims who have been evacuated or need to move their belongings away from growing brush fires.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The U-Haul companies of Raleigh and South Carolina have joined together to offer 30 days of free storage to victims who have been evacuated or need to move their belongings away from growing brush fires.

The N.C. Division of Forest Resources reported 86 brush fires Tuesday, consuming more than 567 acres.

“These fires have already caused tremendous damage and inflicted extreme hardship on the communities we serve,” U-Haul Area District Vice President Ray Smith said in a news release. “I hope this effort will provide assistance to families that truly need a helping hand in areas affected by these fires. We will continue to help our friends and neighbors in this time of need.”
