Monday

North Carolina Beer Month continues this week with a couple of great beer dinners.

The Fire Pit Barbecue and Smokehouse in Wake Forest will host the Big Boss beer dinner. It will be four courses paired with Big Boss brews. Brewmaster Brad Wynn will talk about the beer-making process and chef Andrew Forster will give some insights into curing and smoking bacon, other meats and fish in the restaurant's wood-fired smoke pit. Tickets are $45 each.
Cameron Bar and Grill will host a beer dinner with Foothills Brewing. Five courses paired with Foothills brews. It is $50 per person.
If beer isn't your thing, Bia at Solas will be hosting its monthly wine dinner. These events are so much fun. This month's featured winery is Vison Cellars of Sonoma, Calif. The winemakers will be on hand to talk about their history. The dinner is designed to pair beautifully with the featured wines. You might want to line up a designated driver though, because you get a fresh wine pairing with each of the six courses. Tickets are $69 and do not include tax or gratuity.

Tuesday

Mike Tyson will share his "Undisputed Truth" at the DPAC. This one-man show has played Broadway. Tickets start at $45.
Pat Benatar will play the Carolina Theatre of Durham. Tickets start at $49.

Wednesday

The Raleigh Downtown Farmers Market kicks off its season with a pig pickin' celebration. There will be $5 barbecue sandwiches from The Pit, live music, cooking demos and activities for the children.
Comedian Sarah Silverman plays the DPAC.
Head to Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh for live music every Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Their Music in the Valley series happens on the outdoor patio across from Brio Tuscan Grille, Flemings Prime Steakhouse, and McCormick & Schmick. This week Crush will play hits from the greatest R&B, pop, rock and soul artists.

Thursday

Beach Music at North Hills continues with The Craig Woolard Band.
Get your tricycle or big wheel for the Big Wheels Downhill Monster Miler on Centennial Parkway. The course is a single-run, one mile, all out madness race. Prizes will be awarded for the first male and female to finish the race, in addition to best costumes and best "pimped out" big wheel. Entry is $30.
Zinda will host a Red Tie event to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphomy Society. Tickets start at $30.
"Biggest Loser" trainer Jillian Michaels is bringing her "Maximize Your Life" tour to Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.
Big Boss hosts Casks for a Cure to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s North Carolina Chapter.
Sample wine and donate money to a great cause at the Rotaract Club of Raleigh's 3rd Annual Wine Tasting at the Wine Feed.
And finally, Triangle Raw Foods is hosting its first pop up dinner at Rebus Works. It is sold out, but don't worry. We will be attending and giving you all the details.
