Two wounded in separate Durham shootings

A man and a girl were wounded Friday evening in separate shootings, Durham police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A man and a girl were wounded Friday evening in separate shootings, Durham police said.

The first shooting occurred in the 2900 block of Firth Road, and officers found a wounded man lying in the street. He was taken to Duke University Hospital with serious injuries.

The second shooting occurred at the Channing Court apartment complex at 111 E. Channing Ave., which is less than a mile from Firth Road. A girl was shot, but police said her condition was unknown.

Police released no other information about the shootings.
