Two wanted in Wayne County armed robbery

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying two men who robbed a Dudley convenience store last Friday.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying two men who robbed a Dudley convenience store last Friday.

Authorities said the men were armed with a rifle and took money from Glenn's Country Store at 104 Fox Drive at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Surveillance video of the crime show two men with their faces covered with what appeared to be white T-shirts.

The assailants were each described as being light-skinned black men between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds with a slender build.

Authorities said both men were wearing dark blue or black winter coats with fur trim on the hoods and bright orange lining.

When they left the store, they ran toward Potts Drive and Pleasant Pines Mobile Home Park, the sheriff's office said.

All Crime Stoppers calls remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.
