A couple of notes to all business owners from someone that has designed security systems for a ‘long time’:

    1. Use a high resolution color camera.
    2. Use a high frame capture-rate.
    3. Provide adequate light.
    4. Conceal the camera; mount it at face level.
    5. Provide battery-supported backup for camera and lighting.
    6. More cameras is better than fewer.
    7. Have a lot of storage. Memory is cheap these days. Information from days/weeks before - when someone came in to ‘case the joint’ - is always good. 8. Validate the operation of the system frequently.

Probably the most important for identification purposes is the camera mounting height. It’s just jolly difficult to identify someone wearing a hoodie by looking at their shoulder….

There is a better chance that these two will be caught by bragging about their crimes, rather than identified by these pictures.
