— Two people were transported to a nearby hospital after a wreck at N.C. Highway 42 and U.S. 70 Business Thursday evening, the state Highway Patrol said.

The wreck involved two vehicles.

No other information was released.

    I agree with NCStatePack. Not every accident needs to be reported. By the time anyone reads the article, they are already at their destination. No one sitting in traffic is going to read this article and know to take an alternate route. Once more information is available and it is pertinent (for example, someone died or committed a crime), then publish the article. Otherwise, the article isn't needed.

    I'm not trying to flame wral, but what is the reasoning behind putting a 2-car wreck in the news briefs? If there is a reason, why not report all wrecks? Unless someone was severely injured or there's some other story behind the wreck, I don't see the worthiness of the news coverage.
