Two Triangle restaurants nominated for best new restaurant of the year
Death and Taxes and The Durham are vying for the honor.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Two Triangle restaurants have been nominated for Bon Appetit magazine's "Hot 10" list of the best new restaurants of the year.
Death and Taxes in Raleigh and The Durham at the Durham Hotel are among 50 restaurants nominated for the honor.
"They (the nominees) define the way we eat in 2016,” Bon Appétit’s deputy editor Andrew Knowlton said. Knowlton and senior editor Julia Kramer crisscrossed the country, eating at more than 400 restaurants to compile this year's list.
The top 10 winners will be published in the magazine's September issue, which will be out on Aug. 16.
