Two sought in fatal Halifax home invasion

Two men shot and killed a man inside his Roanoke Rapids home early Saturday and injured two others, police said.

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. — Two men shot and killed a man inside his Roanoke Rapids home early Saturday and injured two others, police said.

Halifax County sheriff's deputies responded to a shots-fired call on Ward Drive shortly after midnight. Antonio Jerold Mills, 29, was found dead. He had been shot repeatedly.

Two other victims were also injured inside Mills' home. 

While deputies were at the scene, another 911 call came in from a witness who was following the suspects' car. They were last seen near Highway 48 and U.S. Highway 158 in Roanoke Rapids.

No other information was released.
