Two sought in Durham shooting

— Durham police are looking for two suspects in the shooting of an 18-year-old at a party last week.

Torico Antonio Edwards Jr., 19, of Capps Street, and Darren Devon Taylor Jr., 21, of Rowena Avenue, are both wanted on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Edwards is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and Taylor is also charged with simple assault.

The shooting happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Aug. 23 in front of an apartment in the 2500 block of South Roxboro Street.

The male victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

Police did not offer a motive for the shooting.

Authorities have arrested a third suspect. Derek Antonio Huggins, 17, of Moline Street, was arrested Saturday on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and simple assault.

He was placed in Durham County Jail under a $575,000 bond.

    streetglide/ I doubt that any of the people mentioned in your comment will see the photos. If they ever had possession of a computer, they sold it out of the trunk of a car before they were caught with it.

    Durham-again-go figure!! And they continue to elect the same crooks to City Council-over and over!! And MAyor Bell-how many years as Mayor of Durham???

    New blood on Council might serve to toughen Durham towards crime.

    And where is Rev Barbour??? I'm sure he will have time to be in the spotlights next week in Charlotte!

    19 years old and a convicted felon.....hey justice system, you can see where this is headed right?? Lock him up and leave him there, he was nearly successful already at a murder.
