Two sought in Durham shooting

Durham, N.C. — Durham police are looking for two suspects in the shooting of an 18-year-old at a party last week.
Torico Antonio Edwards Jr., 19, of Capps Street, and Darren Devon Taylor Jr., 21, of Rowena Avenue, are both wanted on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
Edwards is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and Taylor is also charged with simple assault.
The shooting happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Aug. 23 in front of an apartment in the 2500 block of South Roxboro Street.
The male victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
Police did not offer a motive for the shooting.
Authorities have arrested a third suspect. Derek Antonio Huggins, 17, of Moline Street, was arrested Saturday on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and simple assault.
He was placed in Durham County Jail under a $575,000 bond.
