Shut every single bar and club down. I don't see the value in them except for the "jobs".

After some thought, don't shut it down, build a bullet proof wall around it, let the ones who want to go in, and let them have at it with the full knowledge no police or EMS will enter, they'll have to haul they're own carnage to the ER across the street and PAY FOR IT. Sooner or later they'll all either be dead or they'll learn how to go out and leave the guns at home.

"All of these "urban" night clubs need to be shut down." Mugu

There are plenty of "urban" clubs that have no violent encounters... this spot needed to be shut down a long time ago though...

I think that this is an unfortunate incident. However I think that people should learn to act when they go out in public. I am pretty sure that the owner wants to run a respectable business. I think that the security is the main problem. They do "wand" you and make you go through a metal detector but how about the cars that are in the parking lot that can have God knows what in them. When I was first introduced into the night life, there was a club that was in Greenville that was set up similar to Club Envy, secluded with their own parking lot. To prevent shootings, stabbings, etc, before you parked your car, it had to be search. I do think that this would curve the incidence here.

    To Mugu,
I don't agree with you. All urban clubs are not the same. Some are safe and others, not so much. It is all in the caliber of people that the club attracts. Personally I am a huge fan of urban clubs. I am just going to go where I feel safe.

    Issymayake,
    You are absolutely right.

Mugu, I don't agree with that. Envy/Blackties stands alone in the outrageous number of incidents.

Creme, TJs, and Dolce rarely have problems.

I was at this night club maybe 3 weeks ago to watch the fight. I was very apprehensive about going especially since I do not go out to clubs much these days. I saw with my own eyes the security guards selling and allowing people on the back deck to smoke weed. I have noticed that everytime something bad happens at this club they just change the name of the club. It's time to stop changing the name and shut it down for good. The inside of the club is beautiful and could be used for something more useful.

Let's try something new. From now on, just tell us when there is NOT a shooting at that place.

I agree. It's time to close it; or turn it into a gentleman's club.
