— Two people were robbed while walking on the South Ellerbee Creek Trail Monday afternoon, Durham police said.

The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. near Rand and Green streets when police said two men approached the pair, including one with a knife, and robbed the victims of their cell phones and money.

One of the men hit the female victim, police said.

The two victims, who were not seriously injured, could not provide a detailed description to investigators.

I believe its way time to put cameras on these trails. But ladies you should never go alone. In todays times, it is very dangerous. So sorry you cannot or refuse to see that. Get a partner to go with you. Be safe.

It's also no secret that most violent criminals that attack unarmed citizens are black. So, why the double-standard?

"The two victims, who were not seriously injured, could not provide a detailed description to investigators." - article

They had a knife and assaulted the woman? Had this been me, my description would have been "they are laying on the ground, with multiple gunshot wounds, waiting on your arrival".

"To refer to the shooting death of a Black person as "Fergusoned" when what, exactly, happened in Ferguson has yet to be determined, is highly, highly offensive." - jackaroe123

And very funny. Got a chuckle out of me.
We know a violent criminal met his end. All that's debatable is if he was violent in those last few moments. Either way, I won't shed a tear.

Exactly. Just look at the rate of carjackings in Florida before and after they approved concealed carry laws. Carjackings almost disappeared.

certainly 2 people who are held up and robbed can provide some sort of description?! Detailed or not, locating the perps sooner rather than later could prevent others from being victimized by them. Kind of useless reporting...so we're looking for 2 men, apparently. Thanks, that narrows it down.

It would be nice one time to hear that when the muggers came up to rob someone on that trail, the would be victim mowed them down on the spot. A few incidents of that would slow some of this nonsense down I'd bet.

For those of you who clearly don't get it, stating a suspects race is not being a racist. You liberals attempt to attack and label a person racists if he even mentions anything about a person's race, or problems that are predominant in that racial society. Good try, but you're just showing your ignorance.

Would it be a stretch that it was a white officer in Ferg? I mean the majority of their officers are white. You make it sound like it was a big secret.

Why can't we get most of the criminals off the street? Answer - The police are too busy.

You sound like a real treat. Advocating killing people without providing due process. How communist of you. (no offense to communists)
