Thanks, @Ashen-Shugar ... there are things for all ages, but there are some recommendations on that ride and some of the other Halloween activities.

I looked up the ride for you at http://tweetsie.com/special-events/2013-ghost-train-faqs/.

The ride is not recommended for under 8, but it seems there is quite a few things for all ages. If you get to go I would highly recommend taking the bypass from Cherokee to Gatlinburg. About an hours from Cherokee, (Cherokee is 30 minutes from Maggie Valley) there is beauty that will have you pulling off the road at every overlook to admire.

If nothing else it is worth it just for the mountains. Although the leaf change will not be as spectacular as some it is always inspiring. Go for it, and good luck!

We've never been to the Tweetsie railroad. Do you think it would be fun for a 2 and 4 year old? They love trains, but I'm worried this event might be too scary. (but if we get tickets, maybe it would be a date night get away for us too :) )
