Two men charged with abducting Hoke County teens

Hoke County authorities have charged two men with abducting two teenage girls from Raeford and taking them to Yoakum, Texas.

RAEFORD, N.C. — Hoke County authorities have charged two men with abducting two teenage girls from Raeford and taking them to Yoakum, Texas.

According to Sheriff Hubert Peterkin, two girls were taken from 2573 N.C. Highway 401 Business on Sept. 10 by Celso Rojas Tolentino and Mario Adan Barreto Huertas.

Investigators tracked the missing teens to Texas, and authorities in Yoakum arrested Tolentino, 22, of 707 Gatlin Farm Road, Raeford, and Huertas, 26, of 802 Blue Road, Red Springs. The men were brought back to North Carolina and charged Saturday with abduction of children.

No other information about the incident has been released.

Tolentino and Huertas were being held in the Hoke County jail Thursday under $200,000 secured bonds.
