FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police say surveillance images and tips from the public helped lead to the arrests of two Raeford men wanted in connection with car break-ins and thefts.
Detectives arrested Lucas Laroque, 20, of 183 Dairy Court, and Shaquille Bratcher, 21, of 165 Cavalier Drive, on Tuesday in Hoke County.

The men are accused of breaking into a vehicle at Lake Rim Park last week, stealing a credit card and then using it at two different stores shortly after the theft. They are suspected in other vehicle break-ins as well, police said.

Authorities released surveillance photos from a local Game Stop video store last week and said they received "several calls" through the Crime Stoppers tip line about the men's identities.

Laroque and Bratcher were each being held on a $50,000 secured bond in the Cumberland County Detention Center. They are charged with:
  • Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle (three counts each)
  • Felonious larceny
  • Misdemeanor larceny (two counts each)
  • Felonious possession of stolen goods
  • Misdemeanor possession of stolen goods (two counts each)
  • Credit card theft (two counts each)
  • Credit card fraud
