FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Two men are dead and two others wanted in Fayetteville after an early Friday home invasion, police said.

Dominik Lavon Council, 25, and Xavier White, 20, died in connection with the robbery.

Police are looking for Lamyer Gorminie Campbell and  Derek Rashaun Hair, both 24 years old, in connection with the crime. Campbell and Hair face charges of first degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit first degree burglary, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Both men have criminal records, and Campbell has served time in jail for a previous robbery.

Fayetteville police were first called to the 7500 block of Levi Road at about 3:30 a.m. Friday on a report of a home invasion. Officers canvassed the neighborhood and found a man with a gunshot wound on nearby Martha Court. That man was later identified as Council. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he died.

About two hours later, officers were called to the 5400 block of South Sumac Circle, off Hope Mills Road, about nine miles away from the first crime scene. They found a man lying next to the street, dead from a gunshot wound. He was later identified as White.

Investigators determined both men were involved in the home invasion and there was an exchange of gunfire “during an encounter with the victim,” but they did not explain whether Council and White were working with Campbell and Hair.

The suspects were last known to be operating a dark 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with a North Carolina registration plate of AMC-6212. They men should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about Campbell and Hair is asked to call Detective R. Hutchins with the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-322-5346 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
