KENLY, N.C. — State troopers said two people died when a tractor-trailer and a passenger car collided along Interstate 95 North, near Kenly, Friday evening.

Seline M. Silver, 22, of Bethesda, Md., lost control of a white Saturn while passing a tractor-trailer on I-95, between  Bagley and Truck Stop roads, around 6:30 p.m. The Saturn spun around twice, and then struck on the right side by the tractor-trailer.

Seline Silver and her passenger, Paul Gordon Silver, 66, of Bethesda, Md., died, troopers said.

The wreck closed all but one lane of I-95, backing up traffic for three miles at one point, troopers said. The interstate was reopened by 9 p.m.
