How does a place with 110 call to the police still have a liquor license?

Can I ask that people at least familiarize themselves with the conceal/carry laws before making baseless comments. I am not trying to make a case against or for, just cut down on all the erroneous comments going around. Read up on what it takes to get a permit, what it allows, and where you are still not allowed to carry a concealed weapon.

Bill Brasky. You said "Why we see a fair amount of conceal carry folks commiting crimes with there weapons." Can you please site an example of this? Where did you get this apparent piece of info?

"can you please cite the law against possessing a gun while intoxicated? "
You can't carry concealed if you ANY alcohol in your body.

    G.S. 14-415.11(c) C2 States:
It shall be unlawful for a person, with or without a permit, to carry a concealed handgun while consuming alcohol or at any time while the person has remaining in the person's body any alcohol

110 times police called to this location. Sounds like job security for the police.

Bill Brasky, can you please cite the law against possessing a gun while intoxicated? I've heard that for years but nobody has ever been able to produce it. It is illegal to HUNT after consuming, but not to possess (generally).

You heard wrong- it's pretty easy to find too.

In fact one of the (failed) amendments to the gun reform that DID pass was to INCREASE the penalty for breaking that law.

Which would be impossible if it wasn't already a crime.

I suspect you just didn't look very hard.

Let's see now...there are only 52 weeks in a year, which means that they average a little better than two visits per week by LEO at this establishment, in crowded downtown, and nothing has been done to try and shut it down? Wow. The inmates run the asylums these days...

Very sad, this place used to be called "The Office" and was an excellent upscale dance club about 7-9 years ago with some of the best music in Raleigh. They played trance, euro progressive house, and popular dance tunes and drew a nice crowd. Sad to see the current state of things. It's a amazing what a change in the genre of music can do to a place.

Are any of the pics of this club and the poor guy from The Oxford in the Downtown Nightlife photo segment? Seems like Raleigh's rockin' downtown is far more dangrous than any gun show.
