Two injured in Sampson County fire

Two people were injured in a house fire in Sampson County on Thanksgiving.

ROSEBORO, N.C. — Two people were injured in a house fire in Sampson County on Thanksgiving.

Sampson County fire officials said the fire started at a home in Roseboro just after 11 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, flames were seen coming from the house, according to officials.

One person injured in the fire refused treatment, firefighters said, while the other person was taken to UNC Health for treatment of their burns.

Both people injured in the fire lived inside the home, firefighters said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
